Pigs vs Pesticide
We hear about the alarming effects of pesticides on our health and ecosystem all the time.
One farmer in Michigan, Jim Koan, is doing something about this. His apples get infected with beetles that cause harm to his crops, so he has decided to use pigs to eat the fallen apples before the infected seeds can damage the future crops.
Growing produce healthily does not have to be a huge undertaking–by doing this, Koan is actively contributing to the well-being of humanity.
